Sunny Xun Liu is the Director of Research at Stanford Social Media Lab and Research Scholar at Stanford Cyber Policy Center. Her research focuses on the social and psychological effects of social media and AI, adolescents and well-being, and digital literacy.

Zach Rausch is a senior research scientist at NYU Stern School of Business. He edits the After Babel Substack and directs the Tech and Society Lab at NYU Stern with Jonathan Haidt.

Sarah Wu is a PhD student in the Stanford Social Media Lab. Her research examines the psychological consequences of people's engagement with digital technologies (e.g., AI, social media), particularly in educational and creative contexts.

Jason Lu is a second-year medical student at New York Medical College with aspirations of becoming a psychiatrist. He hopes to empower children, teens, and adults to disconnect from their screens and reconnect with their lives. Prior to medical school, Jason taught science to K-3 and HS students and coached swimming at The Potomac School in Mclean, VA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Pomona College.

Emma Park is a senior at Stanford University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Data Science and History. She hopes to become a clinical psychologist and has assisted with research at the Stanford Social Neuroscience Lab and Department of Psychiatry.

Jonathan Haidt is a social psychologist at New York University’s Stern School of Business. Haidt’s research examines the intuitive foundations of morality, and how morality varies across cultural and political divisions. Alongside The Anxious Generation, Haidt is the author of The Happiness Hypothesis (2006) and of the New York Times bestsellers The Righteous Mind (2012) and The Coddling of the American Mind (2018, with Greg Lukianoff).

Jeff Hancock is the founding director of the Stanford Social Media Lab and is Harry and Norman Chandler Professor of Communication at Stanford University. Professor Hancock and his group work on understanding psychological and interpersonal processes in social media.
